CAREER FAIR:
The US Embassy Ambassador has offered to help with the Career fair. He can come only at a certain time, most likely. Rachel will talk to teachers about getting all the students back together for his speech. Also, there is a famous opera singer who wants to present and also sing to the group. We are working on scheduling and logistics. PTA will purchase ‘ACS’ coffee mugs for a ‘thank you gift’ for the presenters-Sandra and Mandy will look into that. We are working on finding the cheapest place and the place that can have it ready in a week. Carolyn and Kim are working on making nametags. We are not sure about the plastic nametag holders and certificates of appreciation (patti). FOOD: we are looking into various sandwiches from a company, but are first going to talk to Cecilia here at school (patti). Chichi said there
were 20 tables and 17 tablecloths. Kim will talk to the embassy about borrowing tablecloths. Sandra will find out about plates, napkins, and cups for the fair. Chichi is looking for sodas and water leftover from parent night. We will get coffee and tea and water from school.

NAME OF PRESENTER
Profession
DIRECTORIES: We are working on finishing up the directories. Erika has the information.
BUDGET: PTA will buy mugs and sandwiches for the presenters. Sandra found tons of prizes for next year’s family day picnic. If we have none leftover, we will purchase some plates, napkins, and cups. We will purchase a water dispenser for the store and to have for events. Carolyn is going to insist that all debts be paid in advance-no more lack of payment for participation.
INTERNATIONAL HOLIDAY Celebration-December 7, 9-11:30am in the auditorium. Toni and Sandra will be making a planning date for the celebration. The international holiday celebration meeting will be Wednesday, November 28 at 8:30am in the theatre. Toni, Sandra and Patti will contact the participants to notify them of the meeting. So far, the participating countries are: US/Canada, Argentina, Colombia, Spain, Denmark, Japan, Mexico, possibly Australia, Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, Israel, Holland and maybe China. Will look into getting Santa to come and having a photographer come and take pictures. PTA will ask if the photographer will cut us a deal on price.
NIGHT PTA MEETING: we will have one in January, as it is getting too close to the holidays. 7:00 p.m. January 29 will be the nightly meeting.
