PTA MINUTES 11/07/07 Career fair- We have 40 presenters so far. We need to find room in the auditorium-possibly put tables on either side and down the middle. Food: we can get tea and coffee from school; we have water leftover from the family night. Sandra had suggested that a few of the PTA members make the sandwiches and that PTA buys ham/cheese/tuna/bread, etc. We will have the sandwiches ready to eat. Sandra, Erin and Wendy will make cookies. Wendy will bring ice. Sandra and Erika will look to see if we have little plates, napkins, and cups. We will also bring sodas or see if we have leftover soda bottles from parent night. PTA members will set up tables and get things ready that morning. Kim will talk to Chichi about setting up tables, electrical supply, etc. At the gate to bring people to the auditorium will be Carolyn and Erin. Waiting to greet the presenters at the auditorium will be Wendy. We will need a stand for ‘information’ for Wendy. PTA will organize the tables and have name placards. We will make a map of the table locations. Erika will talk to a printer about making the certificates of appreciation. Carolyn will make the nametags. 10-10:30-arrival and set-up 10:30-welcome - PTA Chair/Career Fair Chairs 11:00-12:00 International Holiday Celebration-possible tables: Mexico, US/Canada, Bolivia, Colombia, Peru, Spain, Brazil, Holland, Japan, Israel, China, Australia. Each country will decorate their area and may bring a treat for the kids. If we need electrical supply to the tables, they should let us know. We will need to talk to Edwin about setting up the A/V equipment. The date will be December 7 from 9:00-11:30. Toni will put this in the ACS connection and put it on the website. PTA meeting times: Looking into moving our PTA morning meetings to accommodate the janitor meeting. We will have a once-monthly nightly meeting to allow parents who work to attend. We will move the PTA mornings to Tuesdays at 8:30 a.m. PTA Financials: Carolyn will make a monthly financial report to indicate where the money has gone, what PTA has sponsored, etc. We will put the monthly financial report in the ACS connection and on the ACS website under the PTA news link. Put pictures on the website under the PTA link of what the PTA has purchased for the school. We will talk about the plan for the money and goals for this year. T-Shirts- Toni will continue working on selling t-shirts during the ABIA fair.
